Chia Seed Pudding

Updated: Nov 11

Chia pudding is a favorite of mine! It's a nutritious choice for breakfast or a snack, free of added sugars and rich in healthy fats. This delightful treat is not only delicious but also simple and fast to prepare. You can customize it with different flavors, making it suitable for meal prep as a snack or breakfast option. By preparing it ahead of time, you can store it in jars in the fridge and enjoy it whenever you like.

Chia seeds were very popular among the Aztec and Mayan civilization, back in the day. And since only recently, it became popular and known as a superfood and consumed by health conscious people everywhere on earth.

Here I've made two of my favourite jars. One is with cinnamon, honey and raspberry and the other one with cocoa, peanut butter, honey and banana. Both with almond milk. I must say they are delicious and very nutritive, and I really want you to give it a try!

How can you flavour your chia pudding:

- vanilla extract

- cinnamon

- cocoa powder

- peanut butter

- banana or berries

- honey

- maple syrup

What you need for 1 portion

- 200 ml milk of choice (I used almond milk)

- 4 tbsp chia seeds

- 1/2 tsp cinnamon

- 1 tbsp honey

- 1/2 tsp cocoa

- banana, berries or any fruit you like to top it

What you do

1. Combine all of the ingredients except for the chia and then add the chia seeds at the end and stir. Then stir again after 5 minutes and then again 15 minutes after that.

2. Store it in the fridge for 3-4 hours before eating or best chill overnight.

3. When it's ready, top it with some berries, bananas or any fruit you like.

Enjoy!
