Build flavour first
Let the pan become properly hot before adding the beef, then avoid overcrowding so it browns instead of steaming.
Juicy steak meets creamy, garlicky pasta in this indulgent and flavorful dish. Perfect for a cozy dinner or a special treat, this creamy steak pasta is easy to make and packed with satisfying flavors.
Step by step
Prep the Steak: Season both sides of the sirloin steaks with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Cook the Steak: Heat ghee butter in a hot pan. Sear the steaks for 4–5 minutes per side for medium-rare to medium doneness. Let them rest under foil for 5 minutes before slicing.
Cook the Pasta: Boil pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 200ml of pasta water before draining.
Make the Sauce: In the same pan used for steak, sauté chopped onion, minced garlic, and sliced mushrooms until softened. Stir in cream cheese, Dijon mustard, balsamic vinegar, reserved pasta water, and sundried tomatoes (if using). Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce is creamy.
Combine: Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly. Slice the rested steak and serve over the pasta.
Finish: Top with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley. Enjoy\!
